Review: Ecco Bella Flowercolor Lipstick

I won a lipstick giveaway from ORGANIKThings and was given the choice of any of their lipsticks. Currently they carry Honeybee Gardens and Ecco Bella, but since I've already tried Honeybee Gardens, I went for Ecco Bella.

Ecco Bella Flowercolor Lipstick (Chocolate Kiss)

Cruelty-free and Vegan.

Ingredients: Castor oil, isopropyl palmitate (from coconut), candelilla wax, 100iu Vitamin E, organic calendula oil, organic chamomile oil, organic jojoba oil, flower wax coated iron oxides.

This lipstick is advertised as a lipstick that thinks it's a lip balm.
I think it's lip balmy in the sense of not being super pigmented but the texture and feel of it is very lipstick-y to me. It feels heavier than a balm and isn't as forgiving on chapped lips as a tinted balm would be.

Color: I chose Chocolate Kiss because I wanted to try out a brown lipstick and although this looks very brown on the hand swatch, it looks more red once it's on my lips. Since it's on the sheer side, my natural lip color shows through a little. I can layer it on to make it closer to brown, but I've found that when I do that, the formula starts feeling a little sticky. If I just apply a thin layer, it is comfortable though. I don't think it's particularly moisturizing or drying.

Lasting Power: good/didn't have any problems with it

I think I would have been happier with this formula if I had it in a more rosy-pink shade. The slight sheerness could make it good for a MLBB look. With this brown color though, I was disappointed that it wasn't opaque since it wasn't the look I was going for.
